Laptops, Luggage & Leashes: Boise in December

Between my kids visiting, I enjoyed my solo time in the cottage focusing on my new job and visiting with friends. The annual Boise holiday shenanigans were ongoing and did not disapoint...

Tuba Christmas (exactly what it sounds like) included more than 100 tuba players from the area, including these two 10-year-old girls in the front in the photo. The Basque holiday market included some great crafts, and as always, the traditional music and dancing. The Xtreme Holiday Extravaganza (fundraising concert for unhoused people) is one of my favorite events where I also get to reconnect with my local musician friends. The Basque Sheepherder’s Ball is another fun tradition that is always a good party celebrating brother-in-law's heritage. I was in town for the first time during my my family’s cookie exchange (if you thought I was competitive, buckle up bakers), which was delicious! Another highlight was Bingo night with friends.

So much fun. So much food!
